About Us
Prior to the 20th century art was often created on commission. It was used as a medium to illustrate and decorate or to express religious, political or cultural ideas. The artist transformed an idea or message into a visual image. We are using art in a similar fashion.
The Swedish company Art for a Reason was founded to incite people to better care for nature, using art as a tool to convey this message. The first engagement is dedicated to the Baltic Sea.
The Baltic Sea

Living in the Baltic Sea is a part of Art for a Reason with a mission to assist in improving the poor state of the Baltic Sea. Some of the methods used are to provide facts and information, producing and distributing home decoration and gift items bearing artwork depicting the Baltic Sea wildlife and by collaborating with environmental organizations.

The goal is to increase the awareness of existing problems such as pollution and ill-health of the Baltic Sea area with the aim of initiating a dialogue between people as well as to inspire as many as possible to take action.
